There is a fantastic grudge match coming up on Saturday night at the Manchester Arena for boxing betting.

Amir Khan finally gets into the ring with Kell Brook with them both looking to settle a score.

There’s no love lost between these fighters, both of which are arguably past their prime. This one is all about pride.

Kell Brook Preview – Brook want recognition

Former World Champion Kell Brook has pretty much been involved in a fight with Khan throughout their professional careers.

There is a sense that Brook hasn’t received the recognition from Khan that he deserves.

Despite these two being roughly the same age and rising to the top of the pro-game at the same rate, the two never got to meet.

Brook did call out Kahn in 2010 and then again in 2015 after Brook had defended his IBF welterweight title.

But a fight never came together, Khan taking other options.

That allowed both to stay on their own paths and to make names for themselves on big fight nights in America.

Brook is the 8/13 favourite to win this bout* (odds recorded 21:05 GMT on February 18th, 2022 at William Hill)

This fight is at catchweight and Brook hasn’t been happy about Khan wanting to fight at this level.

It’s 2lb over the welterweight limit.

He feels like his opponent has been trying to gain an advantage.

The last fight that “Special K” had was a loss against Terence Crawford in November 2020.

That was WBO welterweight title shot, in which he was knocked out in the fourth round.

Kell Brook’s professional record reads 39-3 with 27 of his victories coming by a knockout.

There’s no title on the line on Saturday, but pride certainly is.

Amir Khan Preview – Does Khan retain the ability?

Amir Khan and Kell Brook have known each other since they were 17, and so they should know each other’s strengths and weaknesses inside out.

Khan has not been in the ring since a fight against Australia’s Billy Dib in the summer of 2019.

In that fight, Khan won the WBC International welterweight title.

Just a few months before that, he had gone up against Terence Crawford and had been stopped in the sixth round when trying to get the WBO welterweight title from the American.

Khan has lost four of his last twelve bouts now

The last two have been big ones, the fight against Crawford and Canelo Alvarez before that.

In the match outright for boxing betting, Khan is 13/10 for the victory* (odds recorded 21:05 GMT on February 18th, 2022 at William Hill).

He is a long way past the peak of his career.

But he has looked and sounded both calm and composed ahead of this fight. He knows how to wind up Brook.

Amir Khan holds a pro boxing record of 34-5, with 21 of his wins coming by a knockout.

It is a little hard to see him having the power to actually stop Brook in this fight.

So his best chance is probably going to be by taking it the distance and keeping out of the bigger range of Brook.

Khan on points is at a quote of 15/4 in boxing betting* (odds recorded 21:05 GMT on February 18th, 2022 at William Hill).

But with that said, neither Khan nor Brook have had their strongest of chins in the sport, and one moment can turn this fight.

Kell Brook vs Amir Khan Betting Advice

Brook always wanted a shot against Khan when they were at the peak of their careers, but it never happened

Khan overlooked him to go and lockdown bigger fights over in America. But now the two will finally stand in the ring together.

Brook looks really fired up for this one, it’s like a career dream coming true to get a chance to get one over Khan.

Key Facts – Kell Brook vs Amir Khan Betting Tip

  • Both fighters are former world champions
  • Khan’s record is 34-5, Brook’s record is 39-3
  • Amir Khan has not fought since 2019

The Sheffield fighter is going to have to control his emotion in this one and stick to his game plan.

Brook has been patched up in the last couple of years with eye surgeries, but has the power to stop Khan.

Khan is quicker, but the longer this goes, the more Khan slows down and Brook’s range and power takes over.

Brook Round Betting 7-0 at 6/1* (odds recorded 21:05 GMT on February 18th, 2022 at William Hill).
