Having won 4 of their last 5 matches in the top flight with wins against Sheffield United, Bournemouth, Tottenham and Newcastle United (the latter being a 5-0 rout of The Magpies at the King Power Stadium), Leicester have moved up to 3rd spot and just 2 points behind Manchester City.
Foxes manager, Brendan Rodgers, would live nothing more than for his side to put one over his former employers, especially at Anfield, which in turn would be Liverpool’s first defeat on home turf in the Premier League since April 2017 when Crystal Palace beat them 2-1.
