Can Bulgarian champions avoid defeat?
Ludogrets finished second in their UEFA Europa League group, behind Spanish side Espanyol. They have had two previous European ties against Italian opposition.
Those were both, incidentally in the round of 32 in the UEFA Europa League. They beat Lazio in the 2013/14 campaign and then lost to AC Milan in the 2017/18 edition.
Ludogorets are D1 L1 at home in their two previous fixtures against Italian visitors. They are the reigning champions of Bulgaria and started in the Champions League qualifiers. However, they fell in the first qualifying round to drop to the Europa League.
In their Europa League group stage, Ludogorets won their opening two games and then just managed two points from their following four.
This is the fourth time that they have been in the round of 32 in the competition. They won their first appearance (the tie against Lazio) and have lost their following two.
They have managed to bank a clean sheet in 8 of their last 14 European home games (W6 D5 L3).
But then specifically in the Europa League, the Bulgarians have won only one of their last nine home games. From four previous knockout stage fixtures at home, they are D3 L1.
Inter strong enough to earn an away win
Inter finished third in a tough Champions League group behind Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund. That was a really unfavourable draw for them all things considered.
Inter are unbeaten in their five previous games against Bulgarian opposition. The two times that they have visited Bulgaria in the past, they came away with draws.
They haven’t been back there since 1974. This is the second season running that they Inter been in this stage of the competition.
They made it to the round of sixteen last season but were beaten by Eintracht Frankfurt. What will stand them in good favour is that they have a perfect record in the round of 32.

They were on a run of four straight away defeats in the competition before they won in Vienna last season.
Ludogorets vs Inter Betting Advice
Inter don’t have a great record away from home in the Europa League, but they are in much better shape this season. Antonio Conte’s men should be good enough to go and bank an away win in the first leg of this contest.
