The Red Bulls’ patchy form has seen them slip seven points behind champions and current leaders Bayern Munich. To make matters worse, Borussia Dortmund and Borussia Monchengladbach – who are both above Leipzig in the table – are in fine fettle. In-form Bayer Leverkusen are a point behind in fifth, also.
Leipzig have won just once away from home in league action since mid-December, but nothing less than three points on Sunday will suffice for Nagelsmann and his men.
