Mainz Preview – Can Mainz make most of home again?
Mainz got their new Bundesliga campaign off to a winning start last weekend when they recorded a 2-1 win away at Bochum as they picked up from where they left off at the end of last season, winning two of their final three games.
Wins at the end of last season over Bayern Munich and Hertha Berlin were an impressive way to end their campaign while form overall on home soil was a particular highlight as Mainz lost just twice at home all season which underpinned a successful 8th place finish in the Bundesliga.
