Recent back to back defeats against Tottenham 2-0 at home and a 6-0 thumping away from home at the title holders, Manchester City, have not only seen Nottingham Forest drop down the early Premier League standings to 15th place but also the east midlands club’s goal difference has also suffered serious impact.
Up until the Tottenham fixture, Nottingham Forest had made a reasonable start to life back in the Premier League despite an opening day 2-0 defeat away from home at a resurgent Newcastle United as the Tricky Trees responded by picking up four points from their subsequent two matches.

Although Bournemouth started their new Premier League campaign on a winning note as the south coast club recorded a 2-0 home win over Aston Villa on the opening day of the season, The Cherries have seemingly imploded in subsequent matches in the top flight.
Three defeats on the trot to Manchester City 4-0, Arsenal 3-0 and a 9-0 humiliation at the hands of Liverpool resulted in the sacking of former manager, Scott Parker, who became the first, but by no means the last, managerial casualty in this season’s campaign.
Bournemouth did manage to claw back a modicum of pride in midweek though as the south coast side held Wolves to a 0-0 draw at home and the visitors will no doubt be eager to repeat this clean sheet at the City Ground on Saturday afternoon as well, while a low-scoring game looks to be on the cards in the east midlands here.
