Sale’s title challenge took a big hit last week as they were beaten out on the road by Saracens. It left the Sharks in third place in the table, eight points behind leaders Exeter. They will get an easier matchup at home this week as they face the struggling Tigers.

Sale can put a comfortable win on the board
Sale have won the last two meetings between the clubs. This is the first meeting since March last year at the AJ Bell Stadium when the Sharks romped to a 32-5 match win.
They have put together a good campaign but will be rueing those dropped points against an under-strength Saracens last week.
The loss leaves Sale at W5 L5 for the season. One of the big assets of the Sharks this season has been their defence which has conceded just one point more than leaders Exeter have done.
It leaves Sale with the second-best defensive record in the top flight.
Sale have home form as they have only suffered the one defeat in their last eight league games at the AJ Bell Stadium. That defeat was on the opening weekend of this campaign against Gloucester.
Before that big home win that they took over the Tigers last March, Sale had been on a four-match losing streak in the league against Leicester.
The visitors don’t look like a major threat in this one. Sale have scored 28 tries to the 18 posted by the Tigers this season in the Premiership.
Leicester’s away struggles to continue
The last win away from home in the Premiership that Leicester took was in April at the Newcastle Falcons. So they are on a big barren streak on the road in this campaign.
With only one win in their last four visits to the AJ Bell Stadium as well, this is a difficult fixture for them at the moment.

Worcester are the only team to have scored fewer points in this season’s Premiership than the Tigers. Last weekend they picked up just their third league win of the campaign, taking an 18-9 success over Wasps.
That is two wins for Leicester in their last three league games and just one loss for them in their last four. But everything comes back to that lack of scoring and poor away record.
