Onto Group B and in-form Salzburg will take on Celtic as the betting tips continue in Austria at the Red Bull Arena as the hosts look to continue their blistering start to the season.
Salzburg have racked up nine wins on the trot in the Austrian Bundesliga and unsurprisingly, they top the division by a seven point margin ahead of second placed St Polten already this term. The hosts have won their last six matches overall in all competitions as well as being undefeated in their last 22 matches in total. On the European front, Salzburg are unbeaten in their last nine at home which includes seven wins. Forwards Dabour (7 goals) and Prevljak (4 goals) are the ones to watch for the home side.
Celtic secured a 1-0 home win over Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership on the weekend but despite losing just once in their last 10 matches in all competitions, recent performances from The Bhuoys have been far from convincing.
The visitors find themselves in a surprisingly low 5th place on the Scottish top flight league ladder having already lost twice in the domestic season, and perhaps their European involvement is starting to hinder their Premiership title ambitions.
Switching to Celtic’s results away from home in the Europa League and you’ll see that Brendan Rodgers’s side haven’t won on the road from their last 12 outings at this level, and they’ll be up against an extremely confident and in-form Salzburg outfit here this evening.
Celtic will do well to get a point here I fancy, but my betting tips advise a home win here.
