Nevertheless, Cardiff have lifted themselves out of the bottom three and now sit in the relative comfort of 14th place and hold a vital four point cushion above the relegation zone.
All four of Cardiff’s wins to date in the top flight have been recorded at home with wins over Fulham, Brighton, Wolves and Southampton but they bring a very poor away record of 0-1-6 3/15 with them to the nation’s capital this Saturday.
The Bluebirds have lost their last five away matches on the trot with losses at Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool, Everton and West Ham in what has been a tough set of fixtures, but there’s no guarantees against Watford today either.
