Saturday afternoon brings us the bulk of this weekend’s matches from the Premier League and our next preview features the clash between West Ham and Norwich City as the betting tips continue at the London Stadium.
West Ham Prediction – Can West Ham grab first home win?
After having recently registered back-to-back away wins in the Premier League last weekend and the League Cup during the week respectively, West Ham will return to their London Stadium in confident mood as they prepare for the visit of newly-promoted Norwich City on Saturday.
A 3-1 win away at London rivals, Watford, gave The Hammers their first league win of the season in what was a surprisingly one-sided affair as West Ham put early pressure on Watford this term, and this welcome victory was followed by another one in midweek in the League Cup.
A 2-0 win away at League Two outfit, Newport County, saw the Premier league side avoid any nasty banana-skins on their way to the 3rd round of the competition, and these recent wins will give the hosts a timely boost ahead of this Saturday’s clash against Norwich.
However, West Ham are notorious for not winning matches they’re supposed to, especially at home, where they’re more likely to concede which brings the both teams scored market into play here; 4 of the last 6 meetings between these two teams have resulted in both teams scoring.
Norwich City Prediction – Can Norwich outscore West Ham?
This fixture certainly looks like it’ll contain a few goals and Norwich City certainly haven’t disappointed in that regard so far in their return to the Premier League having been involved in three matches that have contained a total of 14 goals.
A heavy 4-1 loss at Liverpool wasn’t the kind of start that The Canaries would have had in mind, but they quickly shrugged that defeat off with a heavy defeat of their own against Newcastle United at Carrow Road in a 3-1 victory which included a hat-trick for prolific striker, Teemu Pukki.
Another high-scoring game followed that last weekend when they lost 3-2 at home to Chelsea with Pukki getting on the scoresheet again, and perhaps it was no surprise that Norwich City lost 1-0 in midweek in the League Cup away at League Two side, Crawley Town, as several key first team players (including Pukki) were rested.
A rested Pukki and co will return this Saturday though as they make their way down to the nation’s capital, where they may well fancy their chances of getting something out of this clash against an inconsistent West Ham outfit.
