Wolves take on Watford on Saturday afternoon with further betting tips brought to you from the Premier League with the hosts enjoying a rich vein of form.
Wolves have made an impressive start to their new Premier League campaign after an absence of six years under Portuguese manager Nuno Espirito Santo whose personal stock must surely be rising after each game Wolves have played at the moment!
His side are unbeaten in their last six matches which has lifted the west midlands club into 7th place and they’re now just three points behind the Europa League qualification berth. Recent wins against West Ham, Burnley, Southampton and Crystal Palace have been a massive boost to Wolves’ survival plan as well as valuable points against both of the Manchester clubs, both of which ended in 1-1 draws.
As well as picking up seven points on their travels to date, Wolves also remain unbeaten at Molineux with a record of 2-2-0 6/3 and have kept clean sheets in their last two home matches on the trot.
Watford came out of the blocks in explosive fashion at the start of this new Premier League season, winning their first four league matches on the trot with wins over Brighton, Burnley, Crystal Palace and most impressive of all, Tottenham.
However, since then, Javi Gracia’s side have stumbled to four matches without a win which includes three defeats to Manchester United, Arsenal and Bournemouth – the latter being a heavy 4-0 thrashing by The Cherries at Vicarage Road.
The early stages of this season indeed looked promising but The Hornets have gained just one away win to date this term which was at a Europa League distracted Burnley, and the bigger picture certainly looks bleak when looking at Watford’s results away from home as that has been their only win from their last 15 matches on their travels.
My betting tips therefore suggest this could be a long afternoon for Watford…
