Bath have had a surprisingly low-key start to the new season.

Following their run to the semi-finals of the Premiership last season, they are winless in two in this new term.

So they will be feeling a bit of pressure as they head out the road to face the Warriors on Saturday.

After squeezing out a win on the opening weekend of the new season, the Warriors took a hammering last weekend against Bristol.

Worcester Preview – Will Warriors take it at Sixways?

To kick off the new season, Worcester claimed a 1-point margin victory over London Irish to get things up and running.

There was a loss though for them last weekend as they went to Ashton Gate to face Bristol.

Worcester lost that 30-13, after having been in touch at the halftime break 11-8.

So that was a heavy second-half shut down for them.

That saw a four-match winning streak from the Warriors came to a halt.

In the match outright for rugby betting, Worcester are 11/8 underdogs* (odds taken 22:53 GMT, Thursday, 3rd December).

But that does of course hint at this being a fairly tight contest.

At Sixways last season in the Premiership, Worcester produced a W5 L6 record.

They did let their corresponding fixture against Bath slip, but that was in a narrow 21-22 defeat.

They did manage to get to at least 20 points in all but three of last season’s home fixtures.

A Worcester +4 in the handicap for Saturday is at 10/11 for rugby betting* (odds taken 22:53 GMT, Thursday, 3rd December).

Worcester have lost their last three games against Bath in all competitions.

But they have in general, struggled at home against Bath.

Worcester have won two of the last fifteen league meetings at Sixways against them.

It is a W4 D1 L9 record that Worcester have at home against Bath overall in league action.

Bath Preview -Can Bath get their season going?

So it has been back to back defeats at the start of the season for Bath, not a result that many would have expected.

Not considering that they were a top-four team in the last campaign.

They opened this season with a shock loss against the newly promoted Newcastle Falcons, before falling to Exeter last weekend.

That was a bruising 40-3 defeat that they suffered against the reigning premiership champions last Saturday.

So Bath needs to get things kickstarted really.

This is the first time that they have lost their opening two games of a campaign since 2009.

Bath are going into the game as the favourites at a quote of 8/13* (odds taken 22:53 GMT, Thursday, 3rd December).

In last season’s campaign, Bath collected a W6 L5 record out on their top-flight travels.

Bath scored at least 20 points in all but four of their road games in the previous campaign.

The Bath -4 handicap rugby betting option is at 10/11* (odds taken 22:53 GMT, Thursday, 3rd December).

So while they have some things to sort out at the moment, their away record at Sixways does give them a way into this match.

Their attack has to kick into gear sooner than later and we expect them to get close on Saturday.

Worcester vs Bath Betting Advice

Worcester were on a good run of form, having taken four wins on the spin before their crash last weekend.

But they weren’t discredited in their battle at Bristol last weekend.

The Warriors have only taken one loss in their last six at Sixways as well in the league (also against Bristol) so we think that they are value here.

Key Facts – Worcester vs Bath Betting Tip

  • Worcester have won 4 of their last 5 league games
  • Bath have only lost two of their last 15 league trips to Sixways
  • Bath are winless from their opening two games of the campaign

A Worcester +4 for 10/11 looks like the way to go in this one as Bath have looked a little out of sorts up front* (odds taken 22:53 GMT, Thursday, 3rd December).

Worcester’s last two wins over Bath at Sixways have been recent ones in 2017 and 2019.

We think that the Warriors are positioned well enough to just go out and grind one out on tech weekend and are 11/8 in the match tonight to do just that* (odds taken 22:53 GMT, Thursday, 3rd December)..
