Online bookmaker Paddy Power have come under fire from the bank of England because of their “Blippar” mobile which app. The Irish bookmaker had launched an app which brought any £10 note to life through animation. When customers using the Paddy Power application on iPhone or android hovered their phone over any £10 note, the Queens picture would be animated, bringing her Majesty (along with other members of the Royal family) to life. The animated picture of the Royal would then start offering sports punditry through the application, but the Bank of England insisted that Paddy Power and been breaking the law with the application and insisted that they removed it from circulation.

Paddy Power complied in taking down their application which brought UK currency to life. A spokesman from Paddy Power doubted whether or not the Bank of England had any real claims, but they were happy to retire the Queen from her duties, saying that there wasn’t much quality football around at the moment for her to offer advice on anyway.
