An Irish punter from Louth collected a great €6,000 win this week on horse racing. The punter had played a small €3 Lucky 15 (for a total of a €45 stake) on Tuesday’s cards from Ayr, Wolverhampton and Ballinrobe.
A Lucky 15 comprises of 15 separate bets from four selections (4 singles, 6 doubles, 4 trebles and a four-fold accumulator). The bet was struck at Boylesports with the selection being Qasr at 13/2 in the 5.15 Ayr, Descendant at 11/1 in the 5.40 Wolverhampton, Santorini Sun at 11/4 in the 4.50 and Final Treat at 13/2 in the 5.20, both at Ballinrobe.
With three of the selections winning their respective races and the other was a non-runner. That meant that the customer initially returned €5,632.50. But Boylesports run a best odds guaranteed on multiples (two meetings a day) and that meant an extra €1,000 was added to the total.
