West Indies' youngsters could have a torrid autumn in England

It’s a measure of the gulf in class that England are only a best 8/13 with bet365 to whitewash the West Indies in the upcoming three-match Test series, which begins this week with a first-ever day/night Test match in England at Edgbaston.

Not that the pink ball offers much hope to the Windies. Young Caribbean cricketers dream of being the next Chris Gayle or Dwayne Bravo, not Brian Lara or Michael Holding. And that’s why Test cricket in the West Indies is in such a bade state. The T20 team may be world champions but the one-day side didn’t even qualify for the Champions Trophy this summer. The current Test team has a youthful look about it and is painfully short of experience. They also don’t know what it means to win.

Bet365 has become one of the world’s leading betting companies by offering great features like one of the most extensive live in-play betting portals around, great football bonus and insurance offers, plus cash out and partial cash out options on wagers.

You will have to turn over the amount of your qualifying deposit once on the sportsbook. It doesn’t matter which sports markets you chose for this. You must also have settled bets on the value of three times your qualifying deposit and bonus before being able to make a withdrawal on this one.

These are the most important terms and conditions, please see full details at Bet365.

Only one of the current West Indies Test side is older than 30. Captain Jason Holder is only 25 and it’s not certain that their useful leg-spinner Devendra Bishoo is the type to benefit from autumnal England conditions. Since the West Indies drew their last series against England in the Caribbean in May 2015, they’ve lost all six of their subsequent series. When they won their last Test abroad, in Pakistan, they’d already lost the series and that was their first away win, outside Bangladesh, since 2007. They are now eighth in the world rankings while England are up to third after beating South Africa. England are also almost unbeatable on home soil so there seems little hope for Holder’s side, who will heavily rely on batsmen Kraigg Brathwaite and Kieran Powell, neither of whom are renowned for their consistency.

This looks a good opportunity for Mark Stoneman to build up a partnership with Alastair Cook as he becomes the latest opener to rally to the flag but, otherwise, it will be the tried and tested core of the team that will be heading to Australia in the winter and they should have way too much for the Windies.
