Sometimes just backing the favourites in horse racing does pay off. It did for one Paddy Power punter last Friday. The punter built a 10-fold acca consisting of all favourites at the races.
Remarkably all ten of those favourites won, and the £1 stake on the wager returned a very cool £7,202.00.
That’s a pretty remarkable outcome which all started with a dramatic photo-finish win by Badri at Lingfield. That was a tight squeeze but it did get the bet up and running.
Following suit then were Senior Citizen at Fakenham and then Makram and Battle of Marathon in Lingfield trips. Makram had been the favorite to win when the bet had been struck on Friday morning. However, he didn’t start as favourite come the race.
The action then swung on to the all-weather at Southwell. Three C’s, Rodin and Sandridge Lad all did their duties as favourites before Love Your Work came home as the 8/11 favourite to bring up the eighth leg of the staggering wager.
The last two legs of the wager were relying on action from more all-weather action at Dundalk. China Storm just managed to pull out a victory via a photo finish in the ninth leg of the punter’s bet. Then 6/4 favourite Adnap completed the action.
