Norway v Romania Betting Tips – Euro 2020 Qualifiers, 7th June 7.45pm

This is action from Group F of Euro 2020 qualification and it is a tough, competitive one. Norway have managed to get just the one point from their opening two games so have a bit of early pressure on them already. They will be taking on a Romania side who are two points ahead of them so Norway cannot afford to lose any more ground. That, of course, means Romania could really strengthen their qualification push with a victory. Read our predictions for Norway v Romania.

Norway News and Form

Norway started their Euro 2020 campaign with a tough away match in Spain. They looked as if they could potentially hold out for a point until 15 minutes to go, ending up losing 2-1. They were back into another tough game to follow that up with as they played out a crazy 3-3 draw against Sweden. There was a tremendous finish in that fixture with Norway being 2-1 up with less than 5 min on the clock. The thing about Norway is that they are not going to go out and control great deal of possession in games, but they still look capable of taking their chances whenever they come along.

They do not necessarily look as if they are going to be any kind of side who are going to be pushed around. Just back in the Nations League, they had a successful campaign in the winning their group so that gave them great confidence going forward to the Euro 2020 qualifiers. Norway only conceded two goals in six games in the Nations League. They have only picked up one of them in their last four games played now though. Over the last six games Norway have produced a record of W3 D2 L1 and each of those three wins during the sequence were with a clean sheet.

Romania News and Form

It was a pretty good campaign from Romania in the Nations League. They took a second place finish in their group behind Serbia. Notably, Romania remained undefeated through their Nations League group campaign, one of their most impressive results being an away draw at group winners Serbia. Romania seem to be a pretty good place at the moment. They suffered a defeat in their opening Euro 2020 qualification fixture though, which was against Sweden. Romania fell 2-1 in that game.

Then Romania came back hard and produced a 4-1 home success over the Faroe Islands. So their last eight games they have lost just one fixture (W4 D3) and have to be pretty happy with their progress. They have also taken a clean sheet in three of their last five games played, which indicates that this game out in Norway is going to be a pretty tight affair. It is another tough away game in Euro 2020 qualification for them, but they will would be pretty happy with avoiding defeat at least. That would at least keep Norway off their backs a bit.

Norway v Romania Predictions

Norway to win: there really isn’t much to choose between these two any way you look at it. Romania did well out on the road in their Nations League group, but Norway are a side that are going to give away too many chances. With the extra touches of quality that the Norwegians have, it may just be worth backing the home side to edge it.
