Football – World – World Cup 2018 Betting Tips

Welcome to my World Cup 2018 betting tips, and the second of the quarter-final matches takes place on Friday night at the Kazan Arena with Brazil taking on Belgium for the right to progress to the semi-finals.

Brazil booked their place in the last eight of these World Cup finals by beating Mexico 2-0 as they continued their dominance over the Mexicans in the World Cup, who, despite being the team to beat Brazil on the most occasions, again lost in a World cup tie.

Brazil’s win over Mexico became their 15th match without defeat in all competitions, and their momentum is slowly becoming more menacing as they patiently make their way through this World Cup, topping Group E with two wins and a draw, before seeing off Mexico.

The Brazilians are just about finding ways to win at the moment, and despite Neymar’s questionable ‘gamesmanship tactics’, he grabbed one of the goals in the 2-0 win along with a late goal from Firmino which sealed their quarter-final spot.

In addition, Brazil have kept a total of 12 clean sheets in these last 15 matches, as Tite’s side have built a solid foundation from which to work from, and Belgium will do well to break them down here.

Onto Belgium, and they recorded a memorable fightback against Japan in the round of the last 16 as they came from tow goals down to register a last-gasp 3-2 win against the Blue Samurai to break Japanese hearts.

After a slow start which saw the teams go into half-time locked in a 0-0 stalemate, things quickly got out of control for Belgium as they found themselves 2-0 down through goals from Haraguchi and Japan’s player of the tournament, Inui, but then the Red Devils had a slice of luck.

Defender, Vertonghen’s header back across goal somehow found its way in the back of Japan’s goal, which was followed by a quick-fire equaliser from a header by Fellaini, and despite Japan’s gallant efforts to regain the lead, Belgium hit them on the counter-attack in a devastating move which culminated in a last minute winner from Nacer Chadli to send Belgium through.

Such looseness at the back is unlikely to be on offer against Brazil though, and my betting tips system suggests that Brazil will once again find a way to win to progress to the semi’s.
