Boxing Day action features in the Scottish Premiership at lunchtime, although there’s only the one fixture being played and that is Dundee taking on league leaders, Celtic, at Dens Park with the hosts looking to build upon a couple of promising results of late.
Although they sit third from bottom in the Scottish top flight, Dundee have recorded recent wins over Ross County and Partick Thistle along with taking a point in a 1-1 draw away at Motherwell last time out.

Celtic have bounced back in style following their shock 4-0 thrashing at Hearts just over 10 days ago as The Bhoys have registered back-to-back wins against Partick Thistle 2-0 and second placed Aberdeen 3-0, both at Celtic Park, which has opened up a comfortable eight point lead over Aberdeen at the top of the Premiership.
However, Celtic’s recent scare at Hearts should ensure that the visitors remain focused for today’s encounter with Dundee, and they still possess an impressive away record which stands at 7-2-1 20/8.
The last time Celtic visited Dundee they recorded a 2-1 win and with various attacking personnel at his disposal, manager Brendan Rodgers will be keen to gain another three points here with the likes of Sinclair (8 goals) and Forrest (6 goals) support the forwards Griffiths and Dembele.
