Kilmarnock then shocked the champions by holding Neil Lennon’s Celtic to a 1-1 draw at Rugby Park on matchday two. They then battled to a 2-2 away draw at Ross County.

Unfortunately for Dyer and his men, they were beaten 2-1 at home by St Johnstone last time out, conceding two late goals in the process. On a more positive note, Killie have looked competitive thus far, and veteran Chris Burke has started the season with three goals from four games.
