Onto the African section of the World Cup qualifiers, and just two matches remain in Group D for South Africa and Senegal who play each other on Friday night at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg with the hosts needing to win their last two matches to have a chance of qualifying for the next round.

A point here would put them beyond reach, and having remained undefeated in their first four matches of Group D, they look well set to win the group. Senegal have recorded home and away wins over Cape Verde Islands, winning 2-0 both at home and on the road, while also gaining points against Burkina Faso in 0-0 and 2-2 draws respectively.
They now face South Africa in home and away matches, and with a run of seven World Cup qualifiers without defeat, they look good for at least a point here.
