Tommy Wright was frustrated that his team couldn’t hold out and take Celtic to a replay in the Scottish Cup at the weekend but his team have to get that out their heads as they go in search of the points which could yet see them finish in the top half. Taking their form back further and Livingston are the only side, outside of Celtic, to have beaten St Johnstone since the end of November. That’s now just three defeats in 15 games and it’s why they are only five points behind Hibernian in sixth place, having played a game less.
St Johnstone will travel to face the Easter Road club in the middle of this month and if they can go there within touching distance it sets it up for a big 90 minutes in the context of both’s season.
