There seems to be a bit of a row going at the moment about whether the dancing reality show Strictly Come Dancing should feature same-sex couples. Paddy Power have an odds-on price of it happening, but not until the next season of the show. Paddy Power have a 4/6 option that it will be the 2018 edition of Strictly Come Dancing that will feature a same-sex couple while there is a longer price of even money that a same-sex couple will be matched up for the 2017 Christmas Special.

This season’s action hits the dance floor on the weekend with JLS singer Aston Merrygold trading as the 23/1 outright favourite ahead of Millie King and X Factor winner Alexandra Burke who are both 4/1 options in the Paddy Power Strictly Come Dancing outright winner market. Then comes Gemma Atkinson who is an 11/2 poke ahead of Paralympic Jonnie Peacock (9/1).

Spokesman Paddy Power said: “I don’t know about same-sex dance partners, but I guess it is one way of tackling the so-called Strictly Curse.

“Generally, I don’t see a problem with it anyway. When I go out for a few scoops, I end up dancing with a load of lads anyway.
