Bookmaker Paddy Power has a price of 4/7 on Cummings still being in his current job on June 1st 2020, no doubt influenced by the PM’s support.

The No option was happening at 11/8* (betting odds taken from Paddy Power on June 24th, 2020 at 20:39 GMT).

trip to hurt Cummings?

Cummings told the media on Sunday that he was not going to resign, the story being that his 260 mile journey with wife and son, was doing the “right thing” and that he had acted “reasonably and legally”.

Labour has naturally called for an inquiry, with Labour leader Keir Starmer saying that if no action was taken against Mr Cummings, then it would be “an insult to sacrifices made by the British people”.

Some Conservative MP’s have also called for Cummings to take his position under consideration.

PM supports aide

But Boris Johnson threw his full weight of support behind Cummings, saying that his key aide had basically taken the right measure in taking their child to the North East for childcare, when Mr & Mrs Cummings were going to be “incapacitated by the coronavirus”.
