We have reached the penultimate weekend of what has been another sensational season in the EFL Championship. Fulham are up, but who will join them in the 2022-23 Premier League?

The action starts on Friday night when Queens Park Rangers host Sheffield United. Elsewhere this weekend, Bournemouth travel to Blackburn Rovers, Middlesbrough entertain Stoke City, and Millwall meet Peterborough United at The Den.

EFL Championship Matchday 45: Best Betting Football Tips

Queens Park Rangers vs. Sheffield United: EFL Betting Tip

On Friday night, QPR and Sheffield United lock horns at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium. A dreadful run of form has all but cost Rangers a place in the top six, while the Blades will take a giant leap towards making sure of a play-off spot with a win in west London on Friday.

QPR looked a good bet to secure a top-six position when they won five and drew two of seven from December to January. However, since a 4-0 home victory over Reading on 29th January, the R’s have gone on to lose ten of 16 in the Championship. They are now six points behind sixth with two games to play.

Sheffield United are in pole position to claim the final play-off berth. Paul Heckingbottom’s men are in sixth right now, two points above seventh-place Middlesbrough. After no wins in three, the Blades picked up a vital 1-0 victory over Cardiff City at Bramall Lane last time out.

We fancy Sheffield United to seal an invaluable three points at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium on Friday. The away win is priced at 5/6.

Blackburn Rovers vs. Bournemouth: Best Football League Betting Predictions

Blackburn and Bournemouth lock horns in a tasty fixture at Ewood Park this Saturday. Rovers are one of the teams chasing down Sheffield United’s sixth spot, while the Cherries are on the cusp of securing automatic promotion to the Premier League.

Blackburn’s form since the turn of the year has not been good enough, but they kept their slim top-six hopes alive with a resounding 4-1 away win at Preston North End on Monday. Can they follow that up with another three points here?

Bournemouth are clinging on to second after four draws from their past five. They came from three goals down to draw 3-3 with Swansea City in South Wales in midweek. After Saturday’s game at Ewood Park, the Cherries host Nottingham Forest on Tuesday in a huge six-pointer.

Only a victory will do for Blackburn, but we fancy Bournemouth to hold Rovers to a draw. Check out the draw and both teams to score at 10/3.

Middlesbrough vs. Stoke City: EFL Betting Odds & Predictions

Middlesbrough welcome Stoke to the Riverside Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Potters have nothing to play for, but Michael O’Neill’s men are in good form. Can Stoke cause an upset and end Boro’s promotion dreams?

Middlesbrough kept their slender top-six ambitions alive with a 2-0 home win over Cardiff in midweek. The three points ended a run of five without victory. Chris Wilder’s men moved into seventh, two points away from sixth.

Stoke have had a poor season on the whole, but the Potters have been in good form of late. After going nine league and cup games without a win (five losses, four draws), City have gone on to win five of seven in the Championship, seeing off some big names along the way.

Stoke will be no pushovers in this one, and we fancy the plucky Potters to leave the Riverside with a point on Saturday. You can get the decent odds of 7/2 for the draw and under 2.5 goals.

Middlesbrough 4/5

Stoke City 16/5

Millwall vs. Peterborough United: Best EFL Championship Betting Tips on Matchday 45

Gary Rowett’s Millwall and Grant McCann’s Peterborough United do battle at The Den this Saturday. The Lions are still in with a shout of finishing in the top six, while Posh are already relegated to EFL League One.

Millwall start the penultimate weekend in ninth position in the Championship table, three points away from the final play-off berth. The Londoners have had an excellent second half to their season, but Rowett’s troops could come up short in the end.

Peterborough’s first season back in the Championship has been a struggle form start to finish. Their relegation has already been confirmed after 26 defeats from 44 games. Nevertheless, they will be hoping to finish in 22nd place.

Millwall should make home advantage count with three points against relegated Posh. We like the look of 13/10 for the home side to win -1.
