Tuesday night brings us the 2nd legs of the 2nd qualifying round ties in the Champions League and our next featured match is one of the most attractive on the slate with the clash between Swiss outfit, Basel, and Dutch club, PSV, as the betting tips continue at St. Jakob-Park.
Basel Prediction – Can Basel turn it around in 2nd leg?
Tuesday night’s hosts, Basel, find themselves trailing in this 2nd qualifying round by 3-2 after last week’s 1st leg defeat in Holland.
All is not lost though as they scored what could prove to be 2 vital away goals in that 1st leg defeat which could yet be in their favour.
Having lost 3 of their last 4 matches overall in all competitions though means that Basel will have to do it the hard way if they’re to progress here.
A 3-2 loss to Stuttgart in a recent friendly was followed by last week’s 1st leg loss at PSV and they then lost 2-1 at home to St Gallen in the Swiss Super League.
Therefore, confidence may not be as high as they’d have liked ahead of this crucial 2nd leg decider at St. Jakob-Park.
Traditionally, Basel have always been strong on home turf but the recent losses to Stuttgart and St Gallen perhaps show signs of potential vulnerability.

PSV Prediction – Can PSV hold on?
The visitors hold a slender 3-2 lead after last week’s 1st leg victory in this Champions League 2nd qualifying round at their Philips Stadion.
The Dutch club now find themselves just 90 minutes away from progressing through to the 3rd qualifying round of the competition.
However, they’ll be kicking themselves for allowing Basel to score 2 away goals in last week’s win, as this could come back to bite them in this return leg.
Along with Ajax, PSV were a cut above the rest of the domestic competition in last season’s Eredivisie as they finished top and runners-up, respectively.
However, since the end of the season, PSV’s results have been sketchy to say the least in the subsequent pre-season friendlies.
A 0-0 draw with Sion was followed by losses to Nice and Wolfsberg, with a 3-0 win over Greek outfit, Aris, in between.
PSV will take heart from their 1st leg win over Basel though and they’re capable of seeing this tie out to send them into the next qualifying round.
