Chelsea Preview – Can Chelsea finish the job?
Chelsea bring a valuable 2-0 1st leg lead into this return leg in the Champions League against Portuguese club, Porto, following last week’s 2-0 win in Portugal and having also recently picked up a resounding 4-1 win away at Crystal Palace in the Premier League, The Blues will be in confident mood here.
Chelsea seem to have recovered from their spectacular 5-2 mauling by relegation candidates, West Brom, which could be considered a blip in what has been an otherwise impressive turnaround in form for the London club since the arrival of manager, Thomas Tuchel.
On the Champions League stage, Chelsea have produced some impressive results within an unbeaten sequence of nine ties overall, while at home, Chelsea have been hard to beat at Stamford Bridge, losing just two of their last 12 ties.
Porto Preview – Can Porto produce fightback?
Although Porto have only lost three of their last 18 matches overall in all competitions which includes 10 wins, the Portuguese visitors face a tough assignment in London on Tuesday night as they look to overcome this 2-0 deficit but in reality, Porto face a mountain to climb here.
With Chelsea scoring 2 away goals in last week’s 1st leg, Porto need to at least match that feat at Stamford Bridge here on Tuesday night and although they’ve lost just two of their last eight ties at this level overall, results away from home have been inconsistent.
