The second legs of the third qualifying round of the Champions League start on Tuesday night, and my next preview features Dynamo Kiev taking on Slavia Prague as my betting tips continue at the NSK Olympijski stadium.
The tie still hangs in the balance following last week’s 1-1 draw in Prague, but perhaps now Dynamo Kiev hold the upper hand and advantage as they play on home turf for this return leg. The hosts are in blistering form right now as they’ve won seven of their last eight matches in all competitions, and are unbeaten in their last 14 matches in total.
On the domestic front, Dynamo Kiev possess a 100% winning record in the early stages of the new Ukrainian Premier League season, sitting in third place in the top flight. They come into this second leg having won their last two home ties in the Champions League with wins over Besiktas 6-0 and Young Boys 3-1.
Czech Republic side, Slavia Prague currently sit top of their domestic Czech Liga also with a 100% winning record after the first four matches of the new campaign. With six wins from their last seven matches in all competitions, the visitors also look in good shape ahead of this crucial decider in the Ukraine.
However, at this level, Slavia Prague have registered just one win from their last 14 matches which was a 1-0 home win over Belarus outfit, BATE Borisov back in July of last year. The visitors had also failed to score in 8 of these last 14 ties, so they could be up against it this evening.
In addition, a sequence of seven away matches without a win which includes five defeats shows a possible chink in Slavia Prague’s armour, and my betting tips are expecting Dynamo Kiev to exploit this.
