Liverpool Prediction – Can Liverpool edge ahead of Napoli?
2nd placed Liverpool registered a 2-1 win away from home at Aston Villa on the weekend but it wasn’t a straightforward victory as The Reds were a goal down and struggled for large parts to break a stubborn and well-drilled Villa outfit down.
The title contenders eventually prevailed though, and they’ll head into Matchday 4 on the back of 4 wins on the trot, which includes a heavy 4-1 win away at tonight’s opponents, Genk, on Matchday 3, Tottenham, Arsenal (on penalties in the League Cup) and the aforementioned win at Aston Villa.
Tuesday night’s hosts sit in 2nd place though in Group E following their 2-0 defeat in the opening Group E clash away at Napoli, but back-to-back wins against Salzburg and Genk have steadied the ship.
