Manchester City began their Champions League campaign in emphatic fashion as they registered a comprehensive 4-0 win away at Spanish club, Sevilla, last week and the hosts now return to their Etihad stadium on Wednesday night, no doubt looking for more of the same as Pep Guardiola’s side look to zero in on a top two finish in Group G.

Borussia Dortmund also won their opening game of the group phase on Matchday 1 of this season’s Champions League as they recorded a convincing 3-0 home win over Danish outfit, FC Copenhagen, which has also lifted the German visitors into the early top two positions in Group G.
However, Borussia Dortmund now face a very tough away trip on Wednesday night at the Etihad Stadium and although they have picked up four wins to date in the domestic German Bundesliga so far this season, there have also been a couple of chinks in their armour as they’ve slipped to defeats against Werder Bremen and RB Leipzig as well.

The visitors have also scored a total of 20 goals during this eight-match period away from home which bodes well for possible further goals on Wednesday night but form away from home at Champions League level has been sketchy as Dortmund have won just four of their last 11 ties on the road.
Dortmund have scored in eight of these 11 away ties while five of these 11 away ties overall have seen 4 goals or more scored, so the prospect of over 3 goals in this upcoming trip to Manchester City looks to be on the cards.
