The interesting thing is that she backed it up well with a straight-set win in the second round.
Parry is barely inside the top 100 and has only three career wins against top 100 players.
But she looks to be on her game and Stephens is giving opponents openings.

2022 French Open Tips: Angelique Kerber v Aliaksandra Sasnovich
Emma Raducanu’s conqueror Aliaksandra Sasnovich continues her French pen journey on Friday.
Sasnovich fought back from having dropped the opening set against Raducanu.
Sasnovich found some great winners in that match and her confidence has to be high.
She will be looking for only her second career victory in the third round of Grand Slams.
But there may be a chance for her in this one.
Angelique Kerber has had two very long matches so far, not making things easy for herself.
She beat Elsa Jacquemot in straight sets in the second round, but the second set was around 90 minutes long.
So far Kerber has spent around six hours on court in the first two rounds.
That is the sort of thing that can quickly catch up to a player.
Kerber is 2-0 in the head to head against Sasnovich but was taken to a deciding set in each.

We stay in the women’s draw for the next French Open tennis betting tip for Friday.
Martina Trevisan is on a roll at the moment having won the last seven matches on the spin.
She beat Magda Linette in the second round, the player who had eliminated Ons Jabeur in the opening round.
So Trevisan is playing well at the moment and she had that massive Paris debut run two years ago when she reached the quarter-finals.
The Italian looks to be back in the groove at the moment with a title in Rabat last weekend.
Daria Saville is ranked outside the top 100 in the world but knocked out a big name in the second round.
She beat Petra Kvitova in the last round, rattling off a bunch of fine winners.
The Australian was 0-3 on clay this season before Roland Garros.
Her opponent is likely to have the upper hand in his contest at the moment, however.

The next selection for the best French Open tips is Amanda Anisimova.
There was a comprehensive victory produced by the young American in the second round against Naomi Osaka.
She has quietly put together a very good clay campaign this year and the 20-year-old now appears to be making big strides.
From five previous visits to the third round of Grand Slams, Anisimova is 3-2.
Karolina Muchova came through a tense encounter against Maria Sakkari in the second round.
That was a huge victory for her against last year’s semi finalist.
But on any other day, Muchova probably would have been punished for the amount of missed opportunities to have closed the match out earlier.
Impressively though, that victory against a top-three seed was only her seventh match back after a six-month layoff for a back injury.
That was a very tough match which may catch up with her.

Cameron Norrie vs Karen Khachanov: 2022 French Open Tips on Online Betting
Cameron Norrie is the last Brit standing at the French Open and he could make further progress still.
He has been untroubled so far, winning both matches in straight sets.
Granted he has faced some inexperienced players so far, but it has given him a good chance to get into his groove.
Norrie had won a title in Lyon just before the French Open, so is going well on the clay at the moment.
Last year in the third round he met Rafa Nadal, this year he faces Karen Khachanov.
Khachanov has dropped a set in both of his matches so far in this draw.
He was in the Lyon event that Norrie won and bowed out in the second round.
Norrie will have a stiffer test in this, but still looks the more likely of the two and leads the head to head 3-2.
