Monday’s best 2022 French Open Tips looks at some of the fourth round action for both the men’s and the women’s draw.

With places in the quarter-finals in Paris now up for grabs, the pressure now goes up a few notches for the second week of action.

We start off in the women’s draw with some competitive-looking matches to pick through for today’s best French Open tennis tips.

Jessica Pegula v Irina-Camelia Begu: 2022 French Open tips

Not many of the top 15 players in the women’s draw managed to survive until the second week of action.

Jess Pegula has though and she claimed a straight-set victory in the last round against last year’s semi-finalist Tamara Zidansek.

The American has delivered some good recent form on the clay, reaching the final in Madrid ahead of the French Open.

Earlier this year she went to the quarters of the Australian Open.

Pegula however trails Begu 2-0 in the head to head.

Irina-Camelia Begu did a superb job over wildcard Leolia Jeanjean in the last round.

She won in straight sets for the first time in this tournament in securing her fourth round spot.

This is just the third time in her career that she has been past the third round in a Slam.

She’s meeting an in-form Pegula however, and this is where her journey may end.

Tip: Jess Pegula 2-0 at 6/5

Free Tennis Betting Tip: Veronika Kudermatova vs Madison Keys

Veronika Kudematova is into the second week of a Grand Slam for the first time.

She moved past one of the title favourites, Paula Badosa in the third round.

Kudermatova had taken the opening set before Badosa had to retire in the second.

That was the first time that she had gotten past a top-five player on the clay in her career.

Madison Keys is a top 30 player, as is Kudermatova is, so there doesn’t look to be too much between these.

Keys won a tight deciding set against Elena Rybankina in the third round.

She has had to dig deep several times at this tournament, but she is showing grit.

Keys seems to be on a bit of a revival this year after a miserable 2021 and can dig deep enough again to win this.

Tip: Madison Keys to win at 4/5

Daria Kasatkina v Camila Giorgi: 2022 French Open Tips

This could be a very interesting round of sixteen tussle between Kasatkina and Giorgi.

Kasatkina had a comfortable draw in the first two rounds, allowing her to build up a head of steam.

She then powered past Shelby Rogers in the third round to set up this second-week action.

The former junior French Open champion has hit form nicely on this current swing.

In Rome, she knocked over four top 30 players to reach the semi finals.

Camila Giorgi caused an upset in the last round, beating Aryna Sabalenka.

The Italian dropped just one game in total in wrapping up the final two sets having dropped the opener.

For a player with not too much from behind her this calendar year, nor in her previous French Open form, this has been a big upswing.

Before the French Open, she had won a match in the main draw of just two of twelve tournaments.

Kasatkina is 1-0 up in the head to head and should take this.

Tip: Daria Kasatkina to win at 8/15

Free Tennis Betting Tip: Casper Ruud vs Hubert Hurkacz

Casper Ruud had some struggles in the third round having to fight back from 2-1 down in the match against Lorenzo Sonego to pull through.

The young Norwegian dug it out though and he is looking to earn his first quarter-final spot at a Grand Slam.

Ruud is the current world number eight and hasn’t really looked comfortable on the clay this year.

Ruud has never faced Hurkacz before.

Hurkacz had no trouble in his third round match, easing past David Goffin.

That’s three straight-set wins that he has carded at this year’s French Open, where his previous record wasn’t great.

Hurkacz did reach the quarter finals of both the Madrid Masters and the Monte Carlo Masters this year.

Those were marked improvements on the Pole’s clay performances.

His performance has just been that much crisper than Ruud’s so he gets the nod in today’s French Open tips.

Tip: Hubert Hurkacz to win at 7/5

2022 French Open Tips: Andrey Rublev v Jannik Sinner

There wasn’t a smooth ride for Andrey Rublev in his third round match against Christain Garin.

He faced an uphill struggle to stay in the fourth set.

Rublev in general however, has been on the up this year, making his presence felt a bit stronger in top tier tournaments.

His previous best finish at the French Open was two years ago when he reached the quarter finals.

But he faces a player who looks extremely consistent right now.

Jannik Sinner has only ever been defeated in Paris by Rafael Nadal and he’s put together a great season.

He has been to the quarter finals in all but two of seven tournaments entered this year.

Sinner hasn’t looked totally settled on the clay, but he is sticking to his plans and playing solid stuff that could just get him further.

Tip: Jannik Sinner to win at 11/10
