Chelsea v Everton Betting Preview – Premier League 27th August 1.30pm

The Blues responded to their home loss against Burnley on the opening weekend of the new season in some style, by taking an away win at Tottenham last weekend. They showed fight, grit and character to pull that out of the bag and of course, some savvy tactical organisation. Everton come to the Bridge on Sunday and they have had a positive start to the new season as well, but will their Europa League endeavours in midweek take something away from their challenge in this one?

The William Hill Super Sub offer is a great way to cover your anytime goalscorer wager on a match. This offer only applies to selected live matches and if the player you have backed in the anytime goalscorer market is substituted and has not scored, then the bet rolls over onto the player who has come on to replace him. If that replacement player scores in the match then you will get paid out at the original price on your initial selection! This is a tremendous promotion from the bookmaker and when you open an account with them you can earn a £20 free bet as a welcome bonus from the bookmaker!

Chelsea v Everton Betting Tips

It will be interesting to see what the Blues have up their sleeve next. They were shambolic on the opening weekend of the season in a home loss against Burnley, but then were tactically brilliantly sound and spirited in their away win at Spurs last weekend. That 2-1 win for the Blues really should have breathed some new life into them. But the question is now, can they follow that up with a good win on home soil against an Everton side which has strengthened significantly over the summer? The Blues romped to a 5-0 home win over the Toffees in last season’s corresponding fixture and they have remained unbeaten on home soil against Everton since a defeat back in November 1994. So you can probably expect goals around in this one and over 2.5 goals at William Hill for 9/10 looks value.

In the last two meetings between these at Stamford Bridge, there have been a total of eleven goals. The Blues will want a much better defensive display than in their last home game though. But Everton are a solid side at the moment and five of the last seven meetings in all competitions have seen at least three goals in them. Both teams to score at William Hill is a price of 11/10. In the anytime goalscorer market, Alvaro Morata is 10/11 favourite with Michy Matisyahu at 13/10 for the Blues. Pedro, who came on a sub against Spurs last weekend, scored in both league games against Everton last season and is a 7/4 option. They may have an advantage in that Everton had an extra midweek game in the Europa League.

The Toffees have collected four points from their opening two games of the season, so a steady start. They took a 1-0 home win over Stoke and then earned a 1-1 draw at Man City. In the William Hill correct score market, a 1-1 draw is a price of 17/2 with a 1-0 win for Chelsea coming in at 5/1 shortest priced option. They certainly have the look of being able to dig in for a point and will challenge the Blues. Wayne Rooney has scored in both league outings for the Toffees this season and he is a 7/2 anytime goalscorer option. Their attack hasn’t quite clicked as much as was expected but there is great quality there and they could start firing at any moment. But it has been a long, long time since they won at the Bridge and have only scored in one of their last four visits there too.

Chelsea v Everton Predictions

Chelsea to win: The Blues have the winning home from going over Everton and they can continue with that here. That win over Spurs should have done them the power of good and they can bury the nightmare of their loss to Burnley with a win in this one. Chelsea to win & both teams to score.
