Crystal Palace v Tottenham Betting Tips – Premier League 25th February 12.00pm

Sunday lunchtime throws up a good looking London derby clash and for Spurs, this could be a big weekend as they look to make up ground on the top four. With Man City not playing and Man Utd v Chelsea going off later in the day, this is a good chance for Spurs to move up. Palace have gone off the boil as they have failed to win any of their last four league games now and have slipped back down towards the relegation zone.

Crystal Palace News and Form

Crystal Palace can’t ease their mind from relegation issues at the moment after only going D2 L2 in their last four league games. They have slipped back a bit but they have managed to stay strong at Selhurst Park which will make for an interesting London derby. The Eagles are W2 D2 L1 in their last five league games at Selhurst Park, having lost just one of their last eleven there in the league. So they are not a side who are going to go down without a fight at home, however the loss of Wilfried Zaha, the one key player who really dragged them back in the form, going missing through injury has been a blow. The Eagles have scored 16 goals in their 13 league home games this season but defensively have shipped at an average of 1.5 goals per game. 62% of fixtures at Selhurst Park have gone over 2.5 goals. A massive 74% of home goals that Crystal Palace have conceded this season have been in the first half of games. They are on a six-match scoring streak in the league home and away but will have to be at their best and then some, to match Spurs.

Tottenham News and Form

So this could well be a very profitable weekend for Spurs if they collect three points at Selhurst Park. They held themselves to play at a home success over Arsenal in the North London derby last time out in the league and that moves them onto a nine-match unbeaten streak of form in the top flight, winning six of those. So it’s very good from them at the moment but they have drawn their last two on the road at Southampton and Liverpool though and have collected just the two away wins in their last nine away from Wembley. In the William Hill correct score market Tottenham 1-0 and a 2-0 are both at 13/2 odds* (Betting Odds taken at 4:46 p.m. on February 21st, 2018). They don’t look like losing this one really because of the tremendously positive run of form that they on, but they will likely have a tough fight on their hands here. Tottenham have returned at least two goals in six of their last nine league matches. Harry Kane is up to 23 goals for the season and is the first goalscorer favourite, and his personal goal tally for the season is just two fewer than Crystal Palace’s entire total for the season. Spurs have scored two-thirds of their away goals after the half time break this season.

Crystal Palace v Tottenham Head to Head

Spurs were 1-0 winners against Palace earlier in the season and Wembley and that seems to be something of a trend. Spurs are W6 D1 L2 in their last nine Premier League games against Crystal Palace and five of those wins for the Lilywhites have been by a 1-0 scoreline. Spurs have won the last three league games against Palace by that scoreline. Tottenham have won their last two league visits to Selhurst Park. Both teams have scored in just one of the last six meetings in all competitions.

Crystal Palace v Tottenham Predictions

Tottenham to win: This should be a really competitive London derby, but Spurs have an air of class about them which may tip the balance in their favour at Selhurst Park. Look for Palace to make life hard for them, but Spurs can edge it.
