EFL Championship Matchday 35: Best Betting Football Tips

Huddersfield Town vs. Cardiff City: EFL Betting Tip

Cardiff are one of the form teams of the Championship, and Mick McCarthy’s high-flying Bluebirds will be looking for another three points when they travel to the John Smith’s Stadium to face Huddersfield on Friday. Cardiff are the favourites in this one.

Carlos Corberan has had a tough first season in West Yorkshire, with the Terriers losing half of their 34 Championship games. Town are just five points above the drop zone with 12 matches left to play. Can they cause an upset on home turf this Friday night?

Cardiff are flying under new boss McCarthy. Since the former Republic of Ireland manager took over in South Wales, the Bluebirds have won seven and drawn three of ten. Last time out, Cardiff thumped Wayne Rooney’s Derby County 4-0 in a five-star display at the Cardiff City Stadium.

City have one of the best away records in the division, and the in-form Bluebirds should ease past the struggling Terriers on Friday. Back the away team to win -1 at 16/5.

Watford vs. Nottingham Forest: Best Football League Betting Predictions

Xisco Munoz’s Watford and Chris Hughton’s Nottingham Forest square off at Vicarage Road on Saturday afternoon. Forest have not been an easy but to crack in 2021, but the Hornets have the best home record in the Championship.

Watford, who are level on points with second-place Brentford, have been sensational at home this season. The Hornets have picked up an impressive 13 wins from 17 games, collecting an impressive 41 points along the way. Munoz’s men head into this one having won five of their previous six in the league.

Nottingham Forest have been tough to beat in recent months. However, they did fall to a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Luton at the City Ground on Tuesday night, which was only their second home reverse since December.

Watford are in superb form, and Munoz’s side should secure another three points on their own patch at the weekend. Check out the solid odds of 41/20 for the hosts to be winning at half time and full time.

Norwich City vs. Luton Town: EFL Betting Odds & Predictions

Daniel Farke’s Norwich took another giant leap towards the Premier League with a 1-0 win over promotion rivals Brentford in midweek. The Canaries will be looking for another three points when they entertain Luton at Carrow Road this Saturday.

Since a 2-0 loss to Swansea, Norwich have kicked on and taken control of the Championship with six straight wins. City have not lost at home since a 1-0 reverse to Derby way back on 3rd October. Since then, they have won 12 and drawn four of 16 league and cup home matches.

Nathan Jones’ Luton picked up a precious three points at Nottingham Forest on Tuesday, with Ryan Tunnicliffe netting the only goal of the game at the City Ground. The Hatters have had a solid season under Jones, spending the majority of the campaign around the middle of the table.

Luton have won two on the spin, but they could be in for a long afternoon at Carrow Road on Saturday. The home side could dominate this fixture, so take a punt on Norwich to win both halves at 5/2.

Swansea City vs. Middlesbrough: Best EFL Championship Betting Tips on Matchday 35

Steve Cooper’s Swansea City and Neil Warnock’s Middlesbrough clash in a tasty fixture at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday. The Swans are a point off second, while Boro are five points away from sixth. This is a huge fixture for both clubs.

Swansea left it late to claim a massive three points at Stoke City in midweek, with Andre Ayew scoring a last-gasp penalty. That was just what the doctor ordered for the Welsh club, who had lost two of the previous three.

Middlesbrough picked up a 2-1 win of their own on Tuesday, beating Coventry City at St Andrew’s Trillion Trophy Stadium. Boro have improved in recent weeks, winning three of their last five in the Championship.

Middlesbrough edged the reverse game between the pair at the Riverside Stadium, but we fancy Swansea to nick this one. At the solid odds of 11/4, put some money on the hosts to win by one goal on Saturday.
