EFL Championship Matchday 36: Best Betting Football Tips

Huddersfield Town vs. Peterborough United: EFL Betting Tip

On Friday night, in-form Huddersfield welcome bottom club Peterborough to the John Smith’s Stadium. The Terriers are on a remarkable unbeaten run, which has taken them to third in the table. Can Town secure another massive three points on Saturday?

Carlos Corberan’s Huddersfield have not been beaten in any competition since losing to Middlesbrough in league action in November. Since then, the Terriers have picked up ten wins and seven draws from 17 league and cup fixtures. They are now just two points behind second.

Our betting prediction:
Danny Ward to score first
11/2

Peterborough have slipped to the foot of the table after a horrendous run of form. A 2-1 home win over Millwall in December remains their only victory in 19 Championship matches. Grant McCann’s first game back in charge ended in a 3-0 home defeat to Hull, who sacked him in January.

With Huddersfield in fine fettle and Peterborough in woeful form, we can only see one winner here. Check out the decent price of 7/5 for the home side to be winning at half time and full time.

Sheffield United vs. Nottingham Forest: Best Football League Betting Predictions

The other game on Friday night promises to be a belter, as Sheffield United and Nottingham Forest meet at Bramall Lane. The Blades are in seventh spot right now, with the Reds just two points behind in ninth.

Sheffield United’s impressive nine-game unbeaten run in the Championship was ended by Millwall last weekend. Nevertheless, Paul Heckingbottom has been hugely successful since returning to Bramall Lane in November, guiding United to nine league wins.

Steve Cooper’s Nottingham Forest are also on an incredible run. Since a surprise loss to Cardiff City in January, the Reds have won three and drawn two of five league and cup matches. After two league draws on the spin, Forest secured a 2-0 home success over Bristol City last time out.

The two look well matched on paper, and Friday’s game at Bramall Lane could go either way. We are having a tough time splitting the pair, so our money is going on the draw. You can get 15/4 for the draw and both teams to score.

Sheffield United 26/25

Nottingham Forest 14/5

Fulham vs. Blackburn Rovers: EFL Betting Odds & Predictions

Marco Silva’s Fulham and Tony Mowbray’s Blackburn meet at Craven Cottage in Saturday’s early kick off. The Cottagers sit pretty at the top of the Championship table and are closing in on promotion back to the Premier League, while Rovers are in third.

After the disappointing home loss to Huddersfield, Fulham have bounced back with two gritty wins. They edged past lowly Peterborough in their last one at home before sealing a narrow victory over Cardiff in South Wales last Saturday.

Blackburn finally put their worrying winless run to bed last time out. Rovers nicked a vital victory over fellow promotion hopefuls QPR at Ewood Park, which was only their third Championship success since the turn of the year.

Blackburn will be no pushovers, but Fulham should make home advantage count on Saturday. The Londoners have won the last two by a single goal, and there is good value in 49/20 for Fulham to win by one here.

Blackburn Rovers 6/1

Queens Park Rangers vs. Cardiff City: Best EFL Championship Betting Tips on Matchday 36

QPR will be desperate to get back to winning ways when they entertain Cardiff on Saturday. Rangers have picked up just one league win in six but are the bookies’ favourites in this one. However, the Bluebirds have improved under Steve Morison and could be a tough nut to crack in west London.

Since a stunning run of five wins and a draw from six, QPR have gone off the boil. Mark Warburton’s boys have taken just five points from the last 18 on offer. Nonetheless, they have been strong at home all season, with just Bristol City, Stoke City and Bournemouth leaving the Kiyan Prince with all three points.

Cardiff have been solid at home in 2022, but the Bluebirds have struggled for wins away from the Cardiff City Stadium. They have lost three in a row on their travels and have secured just one away victory since November.

Cardiff could play their part in an entertaining affair in the capital, but QPR should edge it on home turf. Put some money on the home win and over 2.5 goals at 5/2.
