EFL Championship Matchday 37: Best Betting Football Tips

West Bromwich Albion vs. Huddersfield Town: EFL Betting Tip

West Brom and Huddersfield get the Championship weekend up and running with a tasty fixture at The Hawthorns on Friday. The Terriers are protecting the longest unbeaten in the second tier right now, while the Baggies will be looking to build on last weekend’s much-needed win.

Steve Bruce picked up his first victory as West Brom boss last time out, with two goals from Karlan Grant enough for a 2-0 win at Hull City. Prior to that, the Midlands club had lost six and drawn one of seven, collecting a single point from a possible 27.

Our betting prediction:
Karlan Grant to score first
9/2

Huddersfield are on a stunning unbeaten run in the league, winning nine and drawing seven of 16 since a 2-1 home reverse to Middlesbrough back in November. However, they did lose at Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup last Monday.

West Brom will be buoyed after last weekend’s victory in Hull, and we fancy the Baggies to make home advantage count in this one. Take a punt on Bruce’s boys to get the points (22/25).

Barnsley vs. Fulham: Best Football League Betting Predictions

Championship leaders Fulham make the trip to Oakwell on Saturday afternoon to face lowly Barnsley. As the Cottagers close in on promotion to the Premier League, can Marco Silva’s men secure another precious three points here? As expected, Fulham are the clear favourites.

Barnsley remain in the bottom three as we enter the latter stages of the season. However, the Yorkshire strugglers have shown signs of life of late, winning three of the last six. Poya Asbaghi’s boys start the weekend five points clear of safety in 23rd.

Fulham moved a step closer to the Premier League with an emphatic 5-1 win in Swansea in midweek. Silva’s troops have been in sensational form since the turn of the year, winning ten of their 12 Championship fixtures. The London outfit are 14 points clear of Bournemouth and Huddersfield.

Fulham have won five away league games on the spin and have not lost on their travels in Championship action since early October. We like the look of 6/5 for the away team to be winning at half time and full time in this one.

Bournemouth vs. Derby County: EFL Betting Odds & Predictions

On Saturday afternoon at the Vitality Stadium, Bournemouth and Derby do battle. As the Cherries seek promotion, and the Rams are desperate to avoid relegation to EFL League One, this is a huge Championship fixture for both.

Bournemouth have handed the initiative to Fulham in the title race after taking just one point from their last two. After a disappointing defeat at Preston North End last weekend, Scott Parker’s men failed to beat bottom side Peterborough United at home on Tuesday night.

Derby have had a slump in form lately, losing successive games to Millwall, Luton Town and Cardiff City. However, Wayne Rooney’s Rams sealed a vital victory over fellow strugglers Barnsley last time out. Like the Tykes, Derby are also five points behind 21st-place Reading.

Derby are desperate for points, but Bournemouth should make the most of home advantage in this one. There is good value in 17/10 for the hosts to win -1.

Bournemouth 3/5

Derby County 11/2

Millwall vs. Middlesbrough: Best EFL Championship Betting Tips on Matchday 37

Play-off chasers Millwall and Middlesbrough go head-to-head in a massive Championship game at The Den this Saturday. The Lions have moved to within four points of sixth after an excellent run of results, with Boro two points above in eighth.

Millwall have boosted their play-off hopes with a string of good results over the past month or so. The Lions won five in a row before the midweek draw with Blackburn Rovers. Gary Rowett’s team have lost just one league game at The Den since October.

Middlesbrough fell to a big 4-1 defeat to Sheffield United in midweek, which saw them lose ground in the hunt for the top six. Boro are through to the last eight of the FA Cup, but their league form has suffered somewhat, as Wilder’s boys head to London having lost three of their previous five Championship games.

This is crucial fixture for both sides as they look to secure a play-off berth come the end of the season. There is not a lot to split the pair on paper, and we are backing the draw and both teams to score in this one (7/2).

Millwall 39/20

Middlesbrough 6/4
