Fulham News and Form

Troubles in the relegation zone are growing for Fulham after they suffered a narrow defeat out at Burnley last weekend. That is back-to-back defeats for Fulham now in the Premier League and they are facing a massive challenge this weekend in which to try and turn around their form. The Cottagers have only won one of their last nine Premier League games, losing five in that sequence. Overall this season on home soil in their league fixtures, Fulham have produced a W3 D3 L4 record. They did take a success in their last home game beating bottom side Huddersfield by a 1-0 scoreline.

They are W1 D2 L1 in their last four league outings at Craven Cottage. But all three wins that Fulham have taken on home soil this season have been against sides who are currently sitting inside the bottom six along with them. Fulham have scored 12 goals this season conceding a pretty unhealthy 19. Surprisingly only 40% of matches at Craven Cottage this season have made it to over 2.5 goals. There is a trend of each of the last four of Fulham’s home games going under.

There has only been one clean sheet from Fulham this season and that came in their recent win their over Huddersfield. All of the defeats which they have suffered this season have been by at least two goal margin. The record in their home games at halftime is W3 D3 L4. Fulham have the worst defensive record in this season’s Premier League at the moment but they have also been lacking up front. They have brought in former Liverpool forward Ryan Babel to try and get something a little extra going in front of goal.

  • Spurs have the best away record in this season’s Premier league

Tottenham News and Form

Last weekend was a bad weekend for Tottenham as they suffered a double shock. The first was that they lost 1-0 on home soil against Manchester United and the second was at the end of the game when star striker Harry Kane suffered an injury. It is an injury which keeps him out at least until March. So that is a double whammy for Spurs who now are nine points behind Liverpool in the title race. It also leaves Tottenham with two defeats in their last three games played. But they did get a win in their last away fixture which was a 3-0 success at Cardiff.

Tottenham’s away form really has been good as they have posted a fantastic W10 L2 record on their travels. They have won each of their last three out on the road and they have hit the back of the net in each and every one of their away games in the league this season. Spurs have also been leading at the halftime break in nine of their twelve road games. Five of the away victories that Spurs have recorded this term have been by a one-goal margin only.

But they have hit the back of the net with at least two goals in each of their last four top-flight away games. Of the goals which they have conceded on the road this season 75% of them have been in the second period of games. Tottenham can at least look to the positive that they have the best away record in this season’s Premier League. The big question now for them is how do they keep going on all fronts having to do so without Harry Kane who is their main source of goals.

Fulham v Tottenham Predictions

Spurs to win: Even though they lost last weekend Spurs still created tons of chances and they will likely get three points on the board in this one. Fulham just aren’t offering enough going forward and not enough stability at the back. Spurs to win to nil.
