Birmingham’s turmoil for the season just got a little bit worse on the weekend as Harry Redknapp walked away from his managerial job at St Andrews. After having been brought in to keep them up in the Championship last season, which he did, a terrible start to the new season has been enough for Redknapp who has now left the Blues managerless. Birmingham have posted a W1 D1 L6 record for the season in the Championship, scoring just the four goals and are sitting second from bottom with only Bolton beneath them.
With the Blues already on a four match losing streak, their 3-1 defeat against Preston North End on the weekend was enough for Redknapp to throw in the towel. The 44 year old got Boro up to the Premier League of course during his four year stint at the Riverside, but only lasted half a season in the English top flight with Boro.
