Leicester News and Form

The poor streak of form that Leicester have been on lately continued on the weekend as they were heavily beaten at home by Crystal Palace. The Foxes went down 4-1 against the Eagles. That is three straight league defeats for them now, having picked up only the one point in their last six games played. They are actually W1 D1 L6 in their last eight EPL outings. Little surprise really that Claude Puel got the sack. Leicester only hold a W4 D2 L7 home record in the top flight this term.

The Foxes have lost their last four on the bounce at the King Power in the top flight, losing five of their last six there (W1). Leicester have produced 14 goals in their 13 home games, so haven’t been a major offensive threat this season. There’s plenty of room for improvement. Leicester are without a clean sheet in any of their last six games in the top flight (home and away). They haven’t taken one in any of their last six league home games. Less than half of their home games have gone over 2.5 goals.

Leicester v Brighton Head to Head

Key-Facts – Leicester v Brighton

  • Leicester have lost six of their last eight EPL games
  • The Foxes sacked Claude Puel on the weekend
  • Brighton have won just one of their last eleven league fixtures

Brighton News and Form

Brighton weren’t in league action over the weekend. They were due to play EFL Cup finalists Chelsea. So they got a chance to keep their legs a bit fresher. They need to pick themselves up and regroup a bit too as they have only gained one point in their last five Premier League games. They are winless in six overall now. Looking at their longer form, they have taken just the one league win in their last eleven games.

Their defence hasn’t not been as tight as it had been. Brighton have conceded at least two goals in four of their last six. They are W2 D2 L9 overall this season out on the road. Brighton have averaged under a goal per away game. The Seagulls haven’t taken a clean sheet in any of their last eight away from home. Brighton have conceded at least two goals in each of their last four road fixtures. In seven of the thirteen away games this season, Brighton have been behind at the half time break.
