Leicester v Chelsea Betting Preview – Premier League 9th September 3.00pm

There could be plenty of goals flying around this clash at the King Power. Leicester are a good home side and while they have struggled out on the road, they have won their only previous home fixture in the top flight so far this season. Chelsea have responded well after their shocking defeat to Burnley on the opening weekend of the season to post back to back wins. But this could be an uncomfortable afternoon for them against the pace of the Foxes.

Leicester v Chelsea Betting Tips

The Foxes are a decent home side and should put up some kind of challenge in this one. They have lost just one of their last eleven home games in the top flight and they won their only game at the King Power in this season’s campaign. That came in a 2-0 win over Brighton, a comfortable victory it was at that. Their other two games for the season were out on the road at Arsenal and Manchester United and the Foxes lost both of those. Their big strengths are playing on the counter attack at pace and that is something that could well trouble the back line of Chelsea. There should be goals in this fixture and over 2.5 goals at Betvictor returns a price of 9/10 as the two of them played each other three times last season and each of those went over that goal line. The Foxes do not have much home form going against Chelsea, having lost three of their last four on home soil against the Londoners. Both teams to score at Betvictor is a price of 4/5 and Jamie Vardy is a 15/8 option in the anytime goalscorer market for them.

After that chastening defeat at Stamford Bridge against Burnley on the opening weekend of the season, Chelsea have recovered very well in taking victories over Spurs and Everton and those were pressure games after what happened to them against the Clarets. Chelsea have scored very well at the King Power in recent visits, with eleven goals netted in their last four visits there across all competitions. Up in the Betvictor correct score market, a Chelsea 2-1 option is a price of 8/1. Alvaro Morata has made a very good start to his Premier League career with Chelsea, although both of his league goals have come at home, and the Spaniard is a price of 21/20 in the anytime goalscorer market for this one. They may get Eden Hazard back for the first time this term after he scored for Belgium on World Cup qualification duty during the international break. Hazard is a price of 8/5 to hit the back of the net. Chelsea haven’t looked at their strongest yet at the back this season and over 2.5 goals has cropped up in two of their three games played. They showed tremendous character in taking that away win at Spurs and they may have to show the same intensity to get out of this trip to the King Power with something.

Leicester v Chelsea Predictions

Draw: Chelsea’s back line lacks a certain degree of pace and that will make them vulnerable because Leicester can be lethal on the break. The home side will get enough chances in this one and they can stick in there for a share of the spoils.
