Three-Peat for City in 2022/2023 Premier League?

Manchester City have won four of the last five Premier League titles, including the last two.

So when they kick off in the 2022/23 season, City will be looking for an EPL title three-peat.

Man City Betting Odds

  • Erling Haaland Top Premier League Goalscorer 7/2
  • Haaland EPL Top Scorer & Man City To Win EPL title 5/1

For most of the season Manchester City were playing without a number 9, but still remarkably racked up 99 goals in the season.

City have strengthened things in that department ahead of next term.

Erling Haaland arrives from Borussia Dortmund.

The Citizens will also have Julian Alvarez available after singing the Argentinian in January but letting him stay on loan at River Plate for the season.

Liverpool second-favourites

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are expected to once again be Manchester City’s big challenge in the Premier League title race.

With a stunning run of form, Liverpool closed a huge points gap on leaders City to put themselves in contention.

The Reds won sixteen of their final eighteen league matches of an outstanding campaign.

But despite that and despite them putting 92 points on the board, they still fell a little short.

Liverpool are 7/4 second favourites in next season’s Premier League Winners betting market* (odds recorded at 19:34 GMT on May 23rd, 2022 at Betfair).

They bring in young Portuguese striker Fabio Carvalho from Fulham for next season to bolster their attacking ranks.

What lies ahead for Chelsea?

With a lack of consistency and form down the final stretch of the season, it is a little unclear as to what Chelsea will bring to the table next season.

Thomas Tuchel guided them to a third place finish this term.

But there is a clear-out coming over the summer, with the bulk of their defence moving on.

On top of that, their badly misfiring front line will need to be figured out ahead of next season.

At the time of writing, Chelsea were unable to offer new contracts or sign new players.

Despite finding third in the 2021/22 Premier League season, Chelsea were a ridiculous 18 points behind second-placed Liverpool.

Still, even with the uncertainty surrounding the Blues, they are current 16/1 third-favourites to win next season’s Premier League* (odds recorded at 19:34 GMT on May 23rd, 2022 at Betfair).

Ten Hag to revive Manchester United?

Manchester United had a Premier League season to forget as they finished sixth.

It could have been worse if West Ham had won at Brighton on Sunday.

Former Ajax boss Erik Ten Hag takes over at Old Trafford with a massive rebuilding project on his hands.

Manchester United were thirteen points outside of the top four at the end of the season, with an underperforming squad and little fight.

Manchester United are 20/1 to win next season’s Premier League* (odds recorded at 19:34 GMT on May 23rd, 2022 at Betfair).

That would indicate something remarkable happening at the Theatre Of Dreams in what would be a turnaround for the ages.

More realistically Manchester United are even money for a Top 4 Finish* (odds recorded at 19:34 GMT on May 23rd, 2022 at Betfair).

Could Newcastle mount a Premier League challenge?

Newcastle’s recovery, aided by some smart purchases in the January transfer window, saw them put together a wonderful second half of the season.

After looking like relegation candidates for the first half of the campaign, an injection of cash from a takeover and the installation of Eddie Howe as new manager did wonders.

The Magpies went from a survival fight to just missing out on a top ten finish. Newcastle won 12 of their final 19 matches.

With money looking like no object for the club, could they push on a challenge for top honours?
