Cottagers to get the win at the Riverside

Middlesbrough vs Fulham Betting Tips – EFL Championship, 26th October 15.00pm

Jonathan Woodgate’s Middlesbrough could certainly do with a win when Scott Parker’s Fulham visit the Riverside Stadium in the EFL Championship on Saturday afternoon. Boro have failed to win any of their last six, with four of those ending in defeat. The Cottagers, meanwhile, were beaten at Stoke City in their last away game. Which way will this one go at the Riverside this weekend?

Middlesbrough News and Form – Winless run to continue for Boro?

Middlesbrough have not tasted a Championship win since beating Reading 1-0 at the Riverside Stadium in mid-September, which remains one of only two victories this term. Since then, Boro have taken a mere two points from a possible 18.

However, after suffering back-to-back losses to Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion, Middlesbrough did battle to a 0-0 draw against Huddersfield Town at the John Smith’s Stadium in midweek. Jonathan Woodgate’s men had chances to win it in West Yorkshire, but the draw was probably just about the right result.

With the pressure really starting to mount on Boro’s new boss after a slow start to the season, the club are desperate for a win. However, Fulham play some of the best football in the Championship, and the Boro defence could be in for a tough time against the Cottagers’ deadly attack.

Fulham News and Form – Important win on the road for the Cottagers?

Too many draws have been Fulham’s Achilles heel recently, as four of their last eight have ended in stalemates. However, they have been hard to beat, losing just once in the league since August.

Fulham have been in decent form of late, winning three of their last five. The Londoners hit back well after a shock defeat to Stoke at the bet365 Stadium last weekend. In an eventful game with Luton Town at Craven Cottage in midweek, an Aleksandar Mitrovic hat-trick earned Scott Parker’s boys a 3-2 win. Those three points lifted Fulham back into seventh.

Fulham have been average at best on the road this season, winning two, drawing two and losing two of six so far. On their day, however, the London outfit are capable of putting on a show anywhere. Can the Whites claim all three points at the Riverside at the weekend?

Middlesbrough vs Fulham Predictions

Fulham win: Jonathan Woodgate has found it tough going as Middlesbrough boss so far. Boro just missed out on the play-offs last term, and they were tipped to have a good season under their new manager. However, the club have picked up just two league wins from 13 games.

Fulham have not quite been at their scintillating best so far, but they are sitting nicely in seventh spot with a quarter of the season now gone. After Wednesday’s dramatic win over Luton at the Cottage, Fulham will be eyeing up another victory on Saturday. The visitors will be expecting to win this one, so have a punt on Fulham to win -1 at 3/1.

Aleksandar Mitrovic leads the way at the top of the scorers’ charts with an impressive 11 goals to his name. After his treble in midweek, I’m backing the Serbia international to open the scoring (4/1) at the Riverside on Saturday.
