Nottingham Forest News and Form

It hasn’t been bad form from Nottingham Forest recently who have lost just one of their last five. They have drawn their last two league outings though. Their home form stands up pretty well in the Championship as they are W8 D4 L4 overall at the City Ground. Forest have taken a win in three of their last four home games, including the last two there.

But you can take a bigger look back at their form and see they at they are W2 D2 L3 home and away combined. So there has been an element of inconsistency there which is hampering their shot at making the top six. A burst of wins would fix that rapidly though.

Nottingham Forest have scored 22 goals in 16 home games this season. Less than half of their home games have managed to get above the 2.5 goals line. Defensively they have conceded at an average of a goal per game at home. But they haven’t earned a clean sheet in any of their last six home fixtures.

They have picked up a clean sheet in 31% of their home games this season. It really hasn’t been all that bad of a season from them. They are 10 points better off than they were at this stage of last season’s campaign. Forest have conceded 80% of their home goals in the second half of games.

  • Derby have scored just one goal in their last three away games

Derby News and Form

Derby failed to capitalise on a midweek chance to move back up into the top six. They suffered a shock home defeat against the struggling Millwall. Derby are just on the outskirts of the playoffs then and with a lot of work to do in a tight scrap. They have produced some inconsistent form recently and for example, there hasn’t been back to back wins for them in the Championship since early December.

In their last nine League games, they are W3 D3 L3 so it has been a bit hit and miss for them. Derby’s overall away form in the Championship reads W6 D4 L6. Derby have not taken a win in any of their last three on the road. They have taken just one win in their last five away from home as well (D2 L2). There has been a considerable lack of clean sheets from them away from Pride Park.

The Rams have both scored and conceded 21 goals on their league travels this season. They have only come up with the one goal in their last three on the road as well. That was in a 1-1 draw out at bottom side Ipswich. But they do have the fifth best defensive record in the second tier heading into the weekend. Frank Lampard’s men have not doing enough winning through to push their case.

Nottingham Forest v Derby Predictions

Nottingham Forest to win: Derby just can’t seem to land any consistency for themselves and that is going to leave them a little bit vulnerable at Forest. The home form of Forest is not all that bad really at all and we can see them pulling off home victory. Home win.
