Another chance at big survival points coming up for Southampton. They fought back from behind against Watford at St Mary’s on the weekend to bank a 2-1 win. That was the first home win of this campaign for Southampton. The Saints are W1 D1 L5 at home now. That win on the weekend snapped a sequence of just two points from eight games that Southampton had been on. It’s not been pretty stuff from them and the fact that they did struggle to get past the Hornets leaves big question marks over them.

Norwich News and Form – Can the Canaries win at St Mary’s?

There has been a bit of cheer for Norwich in their last two league games. First, they sprung a surprise away win on Everton. Then over the weekend they played host to Arsenal and bagged themselves a point in a 2-2 draw. So that’s back to back games in which they have scored two goals. That’s a little streak and given the lack of clean sheets by Southampton this season, Norwich have to be worth looking at in this fixture.

The Canaries are only W1 D1 L5 out on their travels this season, failing to score in five of those. But there should be chances for them here, especially now that they are in a bit more of a confident mood. Todd Cantwell has scored in Norwich’s last two games. There have only been three away goals needed by Norwich, but the fact that they got on the scoreboard twice at Everton in their last road game suggests that they are capable of striking in this one.
