Swansea City News and Form – Can the Swans return to winning ways on Friday?

Steve Cooper has made an excellent start to his Swansea City career. The Welshman, who took over from Graham Potter in the summer, has guided the Swans to eight wins from their opening 18 games. City are currently in sixth place with 30 points to their name.

Despite their solid start, Swansea have struggled at the Liberty Stadium in recent months. Cooper began life at the Liberty with five league and cup home wins on the spin. However, since beating Birmingham City 3-0 back in August, the Swans have won just one of their last six on home soil in the league. That victory did come against rivals Cardiff City, though.

Fulham have had a topsy-turvy start to their Championship campaign. Scott Parker’s troops, who were relegated from the Premier League last term, are sitting pretty in third place at the moment having accumulated 32 points. The Cottagers have won nine, drawn five and lost four.

Fulham have won three in a row going into this clash. After seeing off Birmingham City and Queens Park Rangers, the London outfit romped to a home win over unpredictable Derby County in midweek. Fulham cruised to an easy 3-0 victory at Craven Cottage, with Bobby Reid, Aleksandar Mitrovic and Tom Cairney getting the goals.

Fulham have been a tough nut to crack away from home this season, with only Barnsley and Stoke City sealing home wins over the Cottagers in the Championship. Can Parker’s men seal a fourth away league victory of their campaign on Friday?

Fulham are really starting to hit their stride in the Championship, winning four of their last six. Victory on Friday would temporarily put them two points behind Leeds United, who sit second. I fancy Fulham to pick up a precious three points (7/5) on Welsh soil.

Aleksandar Mitrovic is right at the top of the Championship scoring charts with 13 goals to his name. The Serbia international has scored a staggering 13 goals for club and country in his last 11 appearances. Mitrovic is priced at 4/1 to open the scoring at the Liberty.
