Saturday was a massive day in British racing with the Grand National taking centre stage on Saturday. Tiger Roll came out and became the first runner to land back to back wins in the Nationals since Red Rum in the 1970’s.

That was the highlight of the day and for one Paddy Power punter, Tiger Roll’s success helped them defy odds of 3,175/1 on Saturday at Aintree.

The punter had played a fivefold parlay, pulling in six selections combined into five folds. Gordon Elliott’s super stayer Tiger Roll played his part, delivering the goods as a 7/2 favourite in the Grand National.

The bet had been kicked off Aux Ptits Soins coming in as an 11/1 success before If The Cap Fits grabbed the Ryanair Stayers Hurdle. The bet rolled on throughout the day, the punter claiming five of six selections, the only one losing being Chosen Mate who came home fifth.

Had Chosen mate deliver too, the payout would have gone skywards. The winning punter still brought in a £3,811 return.
