Tottenham v Chelsea Betting Preview – Premier League 20th August 4.00pm

Chelsea are missing some key players and they are under huge pressure here after having lost at home against Burnley last weekend. They are in real danger of not collecting any points from their opening two games. So this is a good time for Spurs to be taking on the reigning champions you would think and this will be a Wembley clash because Spurs are playing their home games there this season. This could be a big afternoon for Spurs to land a blow against one of their perceived title challengers this season.

Each week you can claim a free £5 bet with bookmaker SkyBet. This is because they run their great Sky Bet Club which is open to all punters. Tottenham v Chelsea Betting Tips

Tottenham will probably be chomping at the bit to get stuck into this one against rivals Chelsea. Under 2.5 goals looks a good opening option for the game at 19/20 with Sky Bet for this Wembley clash and it will probably be tight. Spurs recorded a 2-0 home win over Chelsea last season and they are unwanted in their last four home games against the Blues now. Spurs opened their league season last weekend with a comfortable 2-0 win out at Newcastle and with that being the scoreline they produced against Chelsea last season, then a Tottenham 2-0 correct score at Sky Bet will have some appeal. Spurs have taken back to back clean sheets in their last two home games against Chelsea. Tottenham to win to nil at Coral is a quote of 13/5.

Tottenham’s Harry Kane had so many chances against Newcastle last weekend, but he couldn’t convert but he is up at a price of 10/11 in the anytime goalscorer market and the threat of Dele Alli at 15/8 is there as well for them. They haven’t done any shopping over the summer but it doesn’t look to have affected them early on. They looked good last weekend, fluent and dangerous as ever. You know what you are getting from the Lilywhites. Both teams not to score at Sky Bet in this one is a price of 21/20 and after what happened to Chelsea on the opening weekend of the season, then Spurs will be highly confident of landing three points in this one and heaping more misery on the Blues. Tottenham are on a four game scoring streak against Chelsea in all competitions now. The pressure is on, can Spurs deliver a hammer blow to Chelsea?

Chelsea have already been hit hard having lost at home against Burnley on the opening weekend of the season and having two players see red as well. So the suspensions, injuries and failure to add to their squad in the summer is likely going to hurt them. They don’t look anywhere near as strong as they were last season. Chelsea’s last victory out at Spurs was in the Premier League back in October 2012 so it is a four match winless streak since then from there. After the goals they conceded against Burnley and with main man Gary Cahill out suspended, there are going to be major worries over their back line. As a positive thought, Alvaro Morata opened his Premier League account against the Clarets as Chelsea almost mounted a comeback and he is a price of 7/4 in the Sky Bet anytime goalscorer market. The Blues may be happy enough to just dig in for a point but they did beat Spurs in the FA Cup at Wembley last season without some of their top players starting.

Tottenham v Chelsea Predictions

Spurs to win: This is a perfect chance for Spurs to prove themselves. Chelsea are not at their strongest and will be defensive vulnerable against the creative threats that Spurs can put out there. Spurs to win to nil may be a popular option but they are big value as it is in the match outright. Spurs to win.
