Here we are then, US Masters golf betting has arrived with all eyes on Augusta National for the event, which gets its familiar April slot.

The event was moved last year to the winter and with no spectators. But everything will be looking a lot more familiar this time around.

Dustin Johnson is the one trying to pull off a title defence, something that hasn’t happened since Tiger Woods in 2002.

US Masters Golf Betting 2021 Outright Favourite

The favourite in US Masters golf betting for this year’s edition is Dustin Johson. He is the current 9/1 market leader* (odds recorded at 19:49 GMT on April 5th at Bet365).

No other player in the outright winner market is currently in single figures. So that is a bit of a sign of expected dominance from DJ who is just cool and collected in whatever he does.

But there is a trend rolling against him. None of the last ten winners of the US Masters has been a defending champion. No player has managed that feat since Tiger Woods did it in 2002.

So there is quite the weight of history against Dustin Johnson who does have a second-place finish at Augusta National and another top-five finish to his name during his career.

DJ has made the cut in all but one of 10 previous tournament appearances and has made the top ten in half of those.

Jordan Spieth in the hunt after Texas wins?

Jordan Spieth will be heading to the Major with some hot form. Speith, who 11/1 outright won in Texas on the weekend* (odds recorded at 19:49 GMT on April 5th at Bet365).

So that Texas Open success naturally puts him on the radar to go strongly at the Masters.

But only three of the last nine Masters champions have played in the week before the major. So will that success actually work against Spieth?

Spieth is a former champion, having collected the title back in 2015 by a comfortable four strokes ahead of Phil Mickelson and Justin Rose.

The American boasts a brilliant recent record at the US Masters to be fair.

He has made the top three in three of his five previous appearances, winning once.

Even with him not having rested directly before the Masters, Spieth still has to be on the radar for US Masters golf betting 2021.

Daniel Berger one to watch in US Masters Golf Betting 2021?

Their increasing hype surrounding Daniel Berger could reach a fever pitch over the next week, who knows?

On his debut at the Masters in 2016 he claimed a top ten finish, grinding superbly in that contest.

Berger has claimed the Open Championship and in the last couple of years has taken the Charles Schwab Challenge and Pebble Beach.

With a decent PGA Championship effort from last year behind him, he could feature.

Daniel Berger is in at a quote of 25/1 currently in US Masters golf 2021 betting* (odds recorded at 19:49 GMT on April 5th at Bet365).

He was recently seen at The Match Play, a positive sign for him as he was struggling with an injury that kept him out of the Honda Classic.

Berger was a top-ten finisher on his last stroke play event and could be one to watch.

Can John Rahm make a Major breakthrough?

Will Spain’s Jon Rahm be the Top European in US masters Golf betting 2021? He is a quote of 10/3 to be so* (odds recorded at 19:49 GMT on April 5th at Bet365).

That’s because he is riding high once again in the tournament outright for a Major.

Rahm is still looking for that breakthrough. But like Jordan Spieth, he brings a tremendously consistent record at Augusta National to the table.

Rahm, who only made his debut in 2017, has banked three straight top-ten finishes since then at the US Masters. The best of those was a fourth-place finish in 2018.

He was seventh in November at the Major, but with the scoring likely to be a lot higher than it was then, because of conditions, that should give him a decent chance of grinding something out.

Do lower expectations make McIlroy a threat?

Rory McIlroy is at 18/1 in the tournament outright for US Masters golf betting 2021* (odds recorded at 19:49 GMT on April 5th at Bet365).

Is that enough to pique interest for a player who has been struggling a bit for form?

McIlroy has also had a shake-up behind the scenes with a new coach. Not the ideal preparation ahead of a major.

But it does lower the expectations of the Northern Irishman coming out and genuinely having a shot at the title.

But that is the kind of thing too that could give him some appeal as an each-way punt in US Masters betting. He fought in last year’s Masters.

Bryson Dechambeau to deliver?

In last year’s edition of the US Masters Bryson Dechambeau was right near the head of the market pre-tournament.

He is back trading strongly as The Scientist, the 2020 US Open winner, looks to add to his Majors. This will be his third attempt at taming Augusta National.

He has yet to get himself going at the tournament, not having finished higher than T29 in any of his last three efforts since finishing T21 as an amateur in 2016.

But it’s from the PGA Championship and US Open last year that will put him back on the radar strongly.

We have already mentioned the US Open title, and there was a top-five finish from him at the PGA Championship.

The American is at 11/ in US Masters 2021 betting* (odds recorded at 19:49 GMT on April 5th at Bet365).

Now that he has proven he can win at the top level he has to be a threat.

Dechambeau does appear to be trending nicely back into strong from.

He claimed a title at the Arnold Palmer in early March and followed up with a third-place at THE PLAYERS.

Could Justin Thomas be the answer?

A player heading back to Augusta National with some rising form at the end is Justin Thomas.

For US Masters golf betting he is at 12/1 currently in the outright winners market* (odds recorded at 19:49 GMT on April 5th at Bet365).

He has improved with each US Masters result going 39-22-17-12-4 and he brings some red-hot form to the table as well.

Thomas claimed the win at Sawgrass last month in THE PLAYERS and therefore it is likely a strong challenge is going to come in from him.

He is certainly a player potentially trending to something big in the Masters. Could this year be the big one for Thomas?

Long-priced options to consider for US Masters Golf Betting 2021

There is a deep and talented field of course in action at Augusta National.

With that in mind, there are a lot of players around the 30/1 – 40/1 mark in US Masters golf betting that are going to have a lot of appeal.

2018/19 Rookie Of The Year Sung-Jae Im earned his first PGA Tour title last year, getting the win at The Honda Classic. Sung-Jae Im is at 35/1 in US Masters golf betting* (odds recorded at 19:49 GMT on April 5th at Bet365).

He surprised a lot of people in taking a second-place finish at last year’s Masters. That was his debut. It’s arguable as to whether or not that winter experience in Augusta is going to help out for how the course plays in the spring

Another player in this nice zone of odds for golf betting is Collin Morikawa at 30/1* (odds recorded at 19:49 GMT on April 5th at Bet365).

He’s not always the best with the putter, but the 24-year-old battled to a 44th place finish in November on his Masters debut.

Last year’s USPGA Championship winner has what it takes and warrants a look.

Patrick Reed is there at 33/1* (odds recorded at 19:49 GMT on April 5th at Bet365).

He is a former Masters champion as well having won in 2018. He put in a good effort in November as well to take a share of the tenth spot.

Reed’s not the sort of player that you can just overlook. The American has won a title this year as well, taking the January success at the Farmers Insurance.
