Ronald Koeman 4/7 favourite in Next Manager to go Betting

Koeman given dreaded vote of confidence

Everton’s season failed to get any better over the weekend as they suffered a 1-0 home defeat at Goodison Park against Burnley. That was another dismal outing from the Toffees this season and now boss Ronald Koeman is the shortest priced option at 4/7 in the Ladbrokes Next Premier League Manager to go market.

Koeman has received the dreaded vote of confidence from owner Farhad Moshiri and that probably means that he will be out of a job soon. The defeat against Burnley came after a home 2-2 draw against Apollon Limassol in the Europa League last Thursday, so now they are back in the dumps again. The early talk of a replacement has seen former Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini as the 2/1 favourite at Ladbrokes to be the Next Everton Manager.

He has tumbled a long way from 10/1 to 2/1 as the most likely man to take over while Frank de Boer, who had that ill fated short stint at Crystal Palace this season, is a 4/1 punt to take over the Merseyside hot seat. Ronald Koeman is a 5/1 option to move from Southampton up to Merseyside to take over while the club getting David Moyes back is a 6/1 shot.

A Ladbrokes spokesperson said: “The names at the head of the betting indicate this is a sought-after post and following a sustained run of money, Pellegrini is the latest favourite for the Goodison hotseat.”

With the odds on Koeman tumbling now, the only one who will be feeling a bit better about that is West Ham boss Slaven Bilic who has been under some pressure. He is now out on the drift at 11/2 after the Irons took a victory over Swansea a well on the week.

Ladbrokes spokesperson Jessica Bridge said: “As far as punters are concerned it’s a case of when and not if Koeman’s given his marching orders.”
